From person to person
One of the most common information flow is the flow, leading from person to person. This information flow is typified by letters, mail, etc. from one to another person within or outside their own organization. To many people using Microsoft Word© for processing text is as obvious as using a can opener to open a can of tomatoes. However, although 90% of the current workforce uses Word, the percent of functionalities Word provides that is actually used is around 10%, and seldom exceeds 20%. Deployment of the Corporate Identity Framework Flores increases the effective use of the programs within the Office suite substantially.
From System to Person
The information flow leading from system to person we often call Management Information (MIV) or Business Intelligence (BI). Important information from corporate source systems, like the latest sales figures, can be, often in a surprisingly simple way, revealed in Office programs such as Excel, Outlook, etc.
From Person to System
The information flow person to system typifies itself by the entering of information into a system by a person. This system can be a database file, a document repository, or any other internal or external source. With the deployment of products such as MS Access and InfoPath, very user-friendly 'Front-Ends' can be made, which, even offline (on a laptop), can feed the underlying systems with the information, provided by the user.
From System to System
Among this information flow, the exchange of data between different sources is included. If user intervention is desirable, Office can be very well used to monitor this type of information flow.
